This temple is the kula deivam of adiyen.The temple is near Mutthuppettai/Vedaranyam
in Thanjvour district.It is believed to be the place Bharadwaja rishi's
ashramam and while returning to Ayodhya after ravana samharam,sri rama
has ascended here from the pushpaka vimanam to meet the rishi and get his
blessings.Sri Hanuman is waiting for the message to convey to sri bharata.Perumal
in this kshetram is very beautiful and you can see the veins in the rama's
leg so natural.You can enjoy the beauty of Perumal for hours as there is
no one to send you out in hurry.The pushkarani at the back of the temple,the
village agraharam and the calm atmosphere of the temple are most attractive
factors of this shrine.You can stay at Pattukkottai overnight and visit
the temple in the morning and return to Madras that day night.Comfortable
night trains exist from Madras for up and down journey.
