Srimad Bhagavad gita is part of Mahabaratha, a great epic written by Sri Veda vyasa. Gita is the conversation between Arjuna and Sri Krishna in the battle field of Kurukshetra. Gita teaches us the essence of Upanishads and it is also called "Gitopanishad".
